Busy, positive week

This week has been a busy one.  I held my first crafting workshop on Thursday.  I can't tell you how nervous I was.  My mum came and really enjoyed herself.  I can't tell you how proud that made me feel. Crafting with my mum.  WOW  I love her to pieces, but this is the first time that we have sat down and crafted together and she wants to do more.  I'm hoping to get my aunt involved too, but we all live far away from each other.

Only four people for this workshop, but I am going to focus more on my advertising over the next fortnight so hopefully between that and word of mouth, my group will grow.

I've been making jewelry as well.  I am now the proud owner of four necklaces, 1 bracelet and two pairs of earrings :D  I still have a lot to learn, but I don't plan to sell the jewelry so there is no rush. It's just for fun.

Housework calls.

Today was a good day

Today hasn't gone to plan, but it has been a good day.

Last night I made my first ever pair of earrings and today  made a matching necklace and bracelet.  I also made a separate necklace that doesn't match.

The kitchen is looking better than it has in a while and other areas of my flat are starting to get organised.  I still haven't put "Flylady" into action, but I plan to give it a try.

Here's to getting more organised.

All good plans

Today on the way home from from school run I planned out my day.  I made what I called a master list.  It is a list of all of the to do lists I have to make to sort out different areas of my mind.  I got a really good sense of achievement just from writing that list of seven things.  Strange.  I then went on to write out my business to do list.

It has always been my dream to have my own business.  I have been crafting for years and have found it frustrating that we don't have a decent craft shop near home that sells the types of things that I want to buy.  Perfect shop for me.  Problem is, I couldn't raise the money for it.  So now I am trying to set up regular crating workshops in an attempt to pay my way that way full time eventually and later move it into a shop.

I still have six more lists to write, but I went out for the day, so they will have to be done at a later date.

I started a bag charm yesterday.  Needs a lobster clasp, but it is nearly finished :~D

Today has been a good day.  Too hot, but good all the same.

Just me

Hi, it's just me.  I have another blog (Craftily Sugar Brown), but I don't post there often and my crafting has really moved on.

This blog is my diary in a way.  I'm going to worry less about what other people think of it and try to be honest, in good times and bad.

Bad stuff first.  I suffer from depression, upside of that is I have some great friends who support me.

Good stuff. I recently started my own business teaching paper crafting.  I love to craft, whether the project works or not.  It takes me out of myself and gives me something to focus on.  Nothing better than fingers covered in ink and seeing that I made something that no one else can replicate.

The business is hard work as I am learning as I go along and have already made mistakes.  I need to learn more about marketing.
